He recycled that same snappy Latin progression into national smashes for the Jarmels ("A Little Bit of Soap"), the Isley Brothers ("Twist and Shout"), and the Vibrations ("My Girl Sloopy") during the early '60s, sometimes writing under his Bert Russell pseudonym.
